There is much discussion about disruptors entering the insurance market.  Amazon, Google and even Apple are touted around as the next big thing we should be scared of in terms of eating our lunch for us but is this where we should really be looking?

Elon Musk seems to have started in on the auto insurance market already by banking on the safety features built into each Tesla model, they can now offer car insurance for life with each car.

Perhaps this is how we will see our industry disrupted with manufacturers really understanding their products to such an extent that they can guarantee performance and offer a free insurance against that.

Much more credible than Amazon or Google?
