The advent of electric cars, self-driving technology and connectivity bring huge implications for jobs, as well as the need to develop test facilities and insurance models that can cope with the new technologies. In one example, Michigan is experimenting with how to create new jobs as technology evolves, such as technicians to clean and repair sensors for self-driving vehicles. “These are the people who are going to be in every major repair place in the world,” said Mr Snyder.
